The ingredients in DNA-Herbal Gel are as follows:
Brahmi - Centella Asiatica
The primary active constituents of Asiatica are triterpene saponins (Triterpenes have been described as anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antimicrobial, and anti-tumoral agents, as well as being immunomodulator compounds. Several of them are implicated in the resolution of immune diseases) and their sapogenins which are mainly responsible for the wound healing and vascular effects by inhibiting the production of collagen at the wound site. These are also beneficial for skin problems and acne.
1.Asiatic acid- This compound is an antioxidant as well as an anti-inflammatory agent which is great for combatting inflammatory acne. Acne is caused by the overproduction of sebum, colonization by bacteria and also clogged pores. The anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties of Centella Asiatica makes it a great supporting ingredient for anyone who is dealing with acne.
Calendula
Calendula is a natural anti-inflammatory. Inflammation of the skin causes breakouts, rosacea, eczema, sensitivity, even a breakdown of collagen. All these inflammatory skin conditions can benefit from calendulas soothing effects. The anti-inflammatory properties are thanks to calendula flowers potent dose of flavonoid, saponins, and triterpenoids. These give calendula the ability toprevent the release of histamines, which can cause redness, pain, allergies, and inflammation.
Moisturizing. Calendula is rich in essential fatty acids. The linoleic acid in calendula nourishes the skin from the outside. Linoleic acids give the skin cells the ability to absorb nutrients and hold onto water longer. On the surface, this will look like more supple, nourished, smoother skin.
Protects the skin from external aggressors. The sameflavonoids that give calendula the ability to soothe skin also function to protect it.Flavonoids function as a powerful antioxidant, which helps protect your skin against free radical damage. Free radicals are highly destructive molecules that can wreak havoc on the skin. Antioxidants, like the flavonoids in calendula extract, pair with free radicals, essentially neutralizing them before they can do damage that leads to premature aging (increased fine lines and wrinkles), hyperpigmentation, and dullness.
Keeps skin healthy. For hundreds of years, calendula has been used for wound healing. In fact, one study even found thatcalendula significantly decreased the healing time for C-section scars. The women treated with calendula ointment reported their incisions were less swollen and red than those receiving standard hospital treatment. The healing properties come from calendulas ability to increase blood flow and oxygen to the skin. This increased blood flow to your skin means more nutrition, which helps your skin function at its healthiest and therefore look its best.
Burdock
Burdock Root contains a wide range of active ingredients that can help to improve the condition of mild skin complaints. These are:chlorogenic acid(It is well known that chlorogenic acid has remarkable wound healing properties in vivo by enhancing collagen synthesis via upregulation of Tumor Necrosis Factor- and transforming Growth Factor-1 in different phases of wound healing and also because of its antioxidant potential (Chen et al., 2013), Lactone, Taraxosterols, Polyacetylenes, Flavonoids and Inulin.
It is the Inulin that is particularly valuable in helping to relieve dry skin conditions. Inulin is a humectant, which means that it draws moisture up through the skin to hydrate the upper layers.
Because of its antiseptic prope
